Umbra Revelation (Umbra: shadow & Revelation: emergence, awakening) depicts an inner journey that begins with the opening of the cocoon. The butterfly figure born from the darkness of the mind encounters two other figures at the very first moment: limb like outgrowths and an elongated form that recalls a centipede. These presences symbolize the mind’s inner habits and obstructive tendencies. The butterfly, caught between them, struggles to move toward a bright fissure. This scene makes visible the contradictions inherent in the nature of the mind. Its resistance and its longing for light at once.
The dominant red tones in the work symbolize tension and struggle, while the bright reflections represent the light of hope and transformation that persists even within darkness. In this way, the work invites the viewer not only into a visual experience but also to discover the reflection of their own inner struggles.
