Originally from Izmir, Turkey, Yağız EYIISLEYEN has been working professionally in illustration since 2018. He approaches the medium as a fusion of narrative, texture, and emotion balancing dark, intricate compositions with vivid, expressive color palettes. His visual language draws on ’60s, ’70s, and ’90s vintage comic aesthetics, rich textures, and the graceful naturalism of Art Nouveau. Female figures, florals, animal motifs and signature halftone textures are central to his practice.
His portfolio spans book and album covers, concert posters, and murals. Over the last two years, he has created 100+ book covers for İthaki Publishing. In 2022, he illustrated the Dark Reflections Tarot Deck with Slovenia based La Muci Design including the full deck, packaging and card backs successfully launched on Kickstarter.
His work in music includes album artwork for Yüksek Sadakat, Can Temiz, Rashit, Strider, Par’ya, Marblesun and Deer From Space. He debuted with Dream Gigs Istanbul at ICAF (2022), followed by Müze Gazhane (2023). In 2024, he received an Honorable Mention in the Color Illustration category at the International Illustration Contest and joined an illustration project with Bvlgari. He has also contributed to various mural projects as both designer and painter.
EYIISLEYEN’s goal is to build multilayered visual worlds immersive compositions where story, rhythm and emotion converge. Each illustration invites viewers to explore, linger and uncover new details.
At Get Society × GET SOART, we do not simply present his work as graphic artifacts. We reveal them as atmospheric narratives portals where memory is gridded in halftone, movement swells into line, and color carries the undertone of feeling. These images do not just depict; they resonate.
